I am delighted to be part of BrumYODO’s annual festival A Matter of Life and Death during May 10-19 2019. You can find out more about the programme here with a full schedule and links to event ticketing here.
The following week, I am excited to be leading a Death Cafe on 16 May at 6-7.30pm followed by a special late night tour of Coffin Works as part of Museums at Night. I will also be co-running a creative writing workshop Incantations with Dr Jodie Kim of Birkbeck University on Saturday 18 May from 2.30-4.30pm. Finally, I am facilitating a book group to read and discuss Sarah Hall’s short story “Sudden Traveller” on Sunday 19 May at 2.30-3.30pm.
I will also be checking out as many of the other events as I can, especially Celebrating Life and Contemplating Death Cafe at Birmingham LGBT Centre , Soul Midwives & End of Life Doulas In Residence at MAC , “Precious #2” sarchophogi making session , Planning a Personal Funeral , Archaeology in the Graveyard , and a special event later in July: City of the Dead with Ben Waddington.
All welcome and many events are completely free.
